Morning! :)

Yeah they said that to me aswell Rose, would be ace to get a cheecky wee email asking to go out a bit early but my Visa forms have come through with the dates for the 17th on them so I doubt that will be the case lol! I've not heard from the camp themselves yet either.

I could drive in the states I think, you can use a UK license to hire cars and as I'm 23 should be able to hire something easily but not sure if it would be cheaper to do busses etc! I'm doing ok with the payemts aswell, should have it all payed by March 15th when I get paid again! Will be good to have it done so I can actually start saving for spending money and stuff! Has any one started buying stuff for camp yet, sleeping bags or that? I have no idea where to start! Also what sorta luggage you guys taking like how big etc?! xx

Well if i here from them i will tell you, but i doubt they will :) i ddnt get any letter saying my flight dates only on the camp america site
ohh that would be cool if we could take a road trip, but there is a chance we could get majorly lost aha. I may have a look on flight prices around america to get an idea how much money we will need.
I havnt started buying anything yet but may start looking to see what i have and what i need to buy, im sure someone said we have another meeting to tell us what we need and what we need to do at some point. We should all go to the same one when we get the details :)
has everyone watched the video of a girl who went in 2008, was showing my family yesturday ahh looks so good :D

Yeah Rose they said that to me as well, i think its called pre-season if they ask u to go out a week early or so! But they said to me at the recruitment fair that we wouldnt hear from them till April....I thought that was kina late though but i suppose we dont really need to hear from them till we have everything sorted! My visa forms dont have a specific date i dont think...i need to wait for a date and time to go down there for, think they send one to ur e-mail wen u have to go down! Wee trip to London will be good!
I havent started buyin anything yet...I think I might wait till I get out there and buy sleeping bags etc etc cause thats gonna take up half my luggage space lol! But just like shorts, t shirts, comfy shoes and stuff? I have no idea wat to take lol!
A road trip would be amazing! I really want to do the east coast, think it would brilliant! But im up for goin anywhere really :)! I was talkin to one of my pals who went last year and she said on their nights off they went into new york for the night and stuff.....waa how exciting is that lol!! Wonder about tims square for a few hours lol! Cant wait to get this whole visa thing sorted and out the way!
Hope everyones having a good week :)!xxx

I've seen a video for camp but think it's a promotional one from camp- hi rock themselves! Where can I find this one from 2008?!

I'm the same as you Laura, would like to buy stuff like that over there but would worry we wouldnt get the opportunity to do so and then be stuck without stuff for the 1st few nights! I wonder if we will stay in the CA hotel on arrival or go straight to camp! So many questions lol! xx

yeh buying stuff out there would be a good idea but when we get our baggage allowance details hopefully we can sort it out then. i would think we would have quite a bit as it is for nearly 3 months aha. But yer i woudnt want to be stuck without a sleeping bag for a couple of days aha. Once we start packing we should decide who is going to take what, so we can share stuff out, I know this is a really girly question but should we take straighteners and stuff. :)
I think staying in the hotel would be pretty cool as you can spend time with loads of people before we go off to our camp.
Laura you found the video she has made loads of them so its like the whole summer, it just looks like they have so much fun messing aorund and stuff. One of my friends got into the Frenchwood camp and for a child to go there for the summer is £10,000 and i think its going to be pretty serious. xxx

Morning!

Yeah I found the video's it looks awesome! Everything seems pretty chilled out which is good! Also good that they were getting some days n nights off n stuff and they seemed to have loads to do on their time off too! Don't like the look of rainy days much tho lol, didn't even think about taking wellies but might be an idea haha! Lots of the counsellors had on bikinis too which is good as I was speaking to a camp at the RF and they were like 'you must always dress modestly, only one piece swim wear is allowed' lol didn't fancy that much!!! They seemed to have duvets on their beds which woiuld be good, might buy one when I get there! She got the train aswell so depending on what time our plane lands might just go straight to camp!

Eeeek all this chat is just getting me more excited! OK so.... are we gona go for THURSDAY 10th of MARCH for the meet up night?! Who is defo in?! :) xx
