lol yeah phone voice lol the embassy appointments are nothing to worry bout. When you get to the embassy there are loads of people milling about, just go straight over to the camp america ppl (ul see them, they've got CA high vis vests on) They'll check your forms are ok, and you leave ur bag or electrical stuff with them and then join the queue at the front door. When you get inside you got through a metal detector and anything your holding goes through an xray like at the airport.

Once you've got through the main gate, you just follow the signs to reception where someone will give you an envelope and a barcode and point you to a room full of people. A CA person or scurity guard will point you to a window where they'll check your forms and then if they're ok they'll send you to another queue to wait on a visa interview. The interview takes place at a little window and they'll maybe ask you like 3 questions before they tell you if your visa is approved. They asked me where I was going, what I was doing and how long I was going for. Sometimes they ask for your support letter or proof of return, but they didn't ask me. Then all you have to do is go to the DirectX desk and hand over your courier form. CA have already paid for it so they just ask what T shirt size you want and give you a receipt. Then you're all done!

Sorry for the novel, haha! But you did ask what happened :) lol

I haven't either - I emailed CA to check, and they said they were sorting appointments, and that we should hear within the next week to 10 days

awesome, thank you harry, i just enrolled with the camp a few weeks ago so i think ill be waiting a little longer,

for those who have already got their email,

do you know if its easy to change the date?

im In Tokyo you see so i kinda need my passport but ill be back late April, do you think its easy to change or were the embassy solid with the date? i might give CA a bell and see if they can note me for a special request or something that might work

also quick question about the medical form, do you send it direct to CA or Modin?

thank you guys for the help in advance :D

I believe you send it to Camp America but then also bring a photocopy of it to your camp with you..it depends whether your camp want it or not..some do and some don't. It should say on your placement details in Camp America Direct.

CA just called and they told me that people who haven't got an email have to wait for priority Visa applicants as some people leave in may and are more high risk so they need to cater for them first and some people might have to wait for late may/june,

fun, fun, fun :D

any one going on 22nd april? would be great to meet some camp modin crew for coffee if any ones around

Your first medical form gets sent to the CA office and they'll then update your CAD page with your medical insurance details.

Then you need to send a copy via email to Modin (I asked them yesterday lol) and take a hard copy with you to camp.
