Post Visa Help- Cut on my finger!
Basically i've cut my little finger! I did it on Saturday (the 19th) and my Visa Interview is on Friday 25th May.

This is what it looks like at the minute:

(sorry if the pics big)
What do people think- should i rearrange a visa appointment or risk it being healed by Friday?

Advice please!

ermmmm...

fingers heal quite quickly normally, eg papercuts only last about a week right? its all digital fingerprints, they don't actually inspect your fingers, so i would stick with your current appointment and hope forthe best!

try savlon to speed up the healing!!!

hope thathelps, but there was no-one turned away for finger problems while i was there, good luck!

In Copenhagen they only scan your index fingers, I would think it's the same at the other embassys. I'm sure you're fine, don't worry about it!

which embassy are you going to, london or belfast? because i know in london they scan all your fingers now, not just your index fingers. just keep putting savlon on it and hopefully it'll be healed by then :) xx

I suggest

1. Cold compress (ice pack, cold water, icy water, frozen things) for 10 minute intervals

2. Do not be tempted to pick it,

3. Check out the chemists for cream to reduce burns

4. Do not cover it.

Also if you are worried i suggest doing a finger print before you go to see if it shows up, if it does cancel the appt and if it doesnt you dont need to.

The machines that scan your fingers need to have quite a lot of pressure applied to get a reading, so any cuts e.tc will show up.
