Your free return flight is from New York, but you have 3 options, 1) to take the flight from new york at a specific date 2) take an open / flexi flight from new york, so you can return home when you wish - there is an extra charge for this flight, 3) take a flight from a different state but again there is an extra charge.

I am going to the west coast after camp as well. The cheapest way to get back is book the flights to and from la yourself, the return flight going to new york. They are only about £90 a single. (see expedia.co.uk) Then tell camp america you are flying from new york- to london the day after you arrive in new york so that you only have to pay a nights accomadation in new york.

If you do it through camp america, you have to pay to get to la, then they charge you an extra £185 to travel from la to london, so obviously cheaper to pay for the flight yourself(£90) and pay for accommodation in new york (£70 max).

i agree, except accomodation will be like $25 a night in a hostel in new york, so its cheaper to fly yourself over there

you have to fly back to heathrow, but all flights land at about 7am in the morning the next day, so u can book like 2 trains up to manchester or a flight.
