I just arrived home. I left camp and becauce they couldnt find me another placement... i travelled for 5 weeks then arrived home couple days ago.

If you are homesick..dont worry! i was to but after traveling and meeting all sorts of awesome ppl it is really upsetting being home and am already planning my next travels..so make the most of everything..it is the best experience and a rewarding one!

Ive had an amazing experience and plan to go back next year jsut because it was that good so dont wish your time away.....travel your hearts out..meet ppl..because once your home you realise how grateful u are to have that experience and how much you miss it and want to go back!

Vegas was amazing so everyone shud head down there...stay at USA hostels...they are the best!

PS Greyhound buses are the WORST!

I thought you weren't allowed to travel if you left and they couldn't find you a placement!?

You are. You have 14 days usually.

I am reading my handbook as I type this! And it says 'if you leave your current camp, please be aware that we may not be able to find you a placement, and if this becomes the case your visa will instantly be invalidated and you will be required to leave the country immediately."

My friend quit her camp, was told she could travel, then as she was about to was told 'she was breaking the law' by a different CA representative.

So much for the right and left hand.

Thats so odd! i got 5 weeks of travel in plus 4 weeks before camp and 1 and half weeks at camp haha...my visa isnt cancelled yet...i should really call CA. They dont cancel your visa until you arrive home...and they havent followed me up or anything. but i did come home legally and in the time they sed. haha...man tht sucks..

No no she didn't, they found her a camp last minute!
