Travelling shouldnt be an issue if you are flying to NY - ca fly everyone from europe to NY and then organise them flights/bus/train to their camp from there so i'm guessing they may help you with that.

Whats the issue with the camp - why dont you think its right?? To be honest you are best off accepting it, theres lots of people not even offered a camp yet and there will be less and less as time goes on. CA are there to place you, not really for you to chose if you like it or not. A camp may not be what you had imagined, but your summer will be what you make it. If you head into it ready to experience something new, willing to try new things and learn you will have an awesome summer, but if you set off with your head set to dislike it and not open minded you probably wouldnt have such a good summer. Your summer is what you make it. Go for it - it may be not your ideal camp but you dont really know until you get there :-)

Go for it!! When you get there, there will be lots of other peopel new like you, and you'll all get to know each other and you'll most likely leave with many friends across the world!! Useful for going travelling ;-) Camp frends and the best friends!

You can't say it doesnt look like the camp for you as youve never been there! GO FOR IT!! Most people without placements would jump at the oppertunity and post a 'Ive just been placed' topic on the forum! Give it a shot and try it for a few weeks. CA should help you get to your placement!!

I think you should accept... if you accept - CONGRATS!!! HAVE A GREAT SUMMER IN CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!!!!!

When i first got my placement at camp i was like man i don't think i'll like it and didn't really want to go but accepted it couse it was very late in the summer, but much to my surprise i loved it it was the bedt thing i ever did and now i'm on my 5th summer, so moral of the story is don't judge a camp by it's cover/website/interview you just don't know
