When I went to the interview I was told that I could take my flight on the 19th of June because I have an exam on the 18th of June and that was fine.
3 months down the line + a visa they booked me a flight on the 18th and I asked to get this changed about 3 weeks ago, they said they'd get it sorted.
I booked my flights and hotels for after camp yesterday, today I get an email through saying they're cancelling my contract, however they think I can get a place elsewhere...
what am I meant to do...
will i be able to find a place? am I going to have to get another visa
i'm pretty much devastated... i met people from my camp and it was one I had picked out and really wanted to go.
Help!

hey that really sucks mate but don't worry, if CA give you GS you'll be fine and will get placed and your visa should be fine i think

hey thats really rubbish news.
it happened to another girl a few days ago, and CA gave her guarenteed status. maybe if you talk to CA maybe they can arrange the same for you? it would save you getting another visa and you would definately get placed somewhere else

Thats really wrong sorry to hear that, just so u know u wont need to get another visa though as thats not specific to ur camp it is sponsored by CA not the camp!! Good Luck

thats really bizzarre because i have an exam on the 18th so can only fly earliest on the 19th and yesterday i got a call from CA asking if I could move my flight day to the 17th or 18th instead. I explained i couldnt and she said it should be fine. Sorry to hear it didnt work out for you....i wonder why they're trying to move us though?

Sally - they might be trying to move you so you're flying with other people from your camp. It happened to me last year, I ended up flying out a couple of days later but it wasn't too bad.

Claire - I'd say give CA a call and see what they say - hopefully your visa will still be okay - it's a shame they've left it till now to tell you. I hope you have a great summer whatever you decide

camp america put me on gs
so maybe u'll get it to- ring ca get them to sort it, save you getting another visa and u'd deffinitly get placed

lolz i was really deffestated when this happened to me but just think about it this way...obv wasn't ment to b...and u'll more than likly get placed some where else...that could b better xD

your visa shouldnt be a problem, but definitely call CA to check things out. Hope you get re-placed soon.
