Is this stuff your camp has sent you?

If you need to get a social security number, then your camp should help you obtain that when you arrive. Check with your CD or returners at your camp about wether you actually have to fill these in before flying out. At my camp last year we took all the paperwork out there and they helped us fill it in/get a SSN.

Passport number? Thats weird. Probably best to wait and fill it out when you get there when the american staff can help you. We have a paperwork bonanza mornign at camp to get everyone organized and the guy comes from social security to sort out SS cards for all the newbies. Make sure you keep hold of the paper that comes back with your passport (2019) as you need this with your visa when you get your SS card.

Cheers guys,
Was a little worried as the camp was asking for the forms back in two weeks!
Any ideas aboutt he I-9 forms - its the employment eligibility verification one? It asks for an alien number, but i can't get my visa done as i am waiting for new passport to come through.

Thats why you cant fill it out yet! You need your visa sorted etc. Dont panic about it. They probably ask all staff for them back in 2 weeks, no matter whether youre american or not - i know my camp does! But for international staff they let us fill it all out in staff training week cos they know we get easily confused by all their tax paperwork! No you shouldnt get taxed, but they are silly and tax you anyway and then you have to claim it back at the end of the year!

I'm rpetty sure its your visa number, but to be honest we always have a paperwork mornign at camp so they can help us all fill out theri confusing paperwork. They send it all out but we jsut do it all when we get there, those who did it already usually end up re-doing it as it was wrong!

Nope.

I've got an SSN and I'm def not an American, lol. We had to have them to be paid - cause we were paid by Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, and not the actual camp. Not everyone needs them though. *shrugs*
