I'll be going to the orientation too, but as for camp I'll be at camp Manitou in maine, so no luck there I'm afraid.

I'm a coupla months behind on this ol' thread, lol but I'm going to the Colchester orientation too. Heading off to Camp Pembroke in Boston, so be seeing you all at the orientation!

Can anybody tell me how far the uni is away from the main town/city whatever it is lol..I'm like 2 hours away so I have no idea where I'm going..Thanks. Tara x

yeah that would be quite useful as I live a couple of hours away too and I just know I'm going to get lost!!

Also, just wondering are parents welcome as my dad is going to be driving me there and not sure what he can do/where he can go while he waits if they aren't.

I still havn't got a place on a camp which im a bit worried about but from reading other posts you still go to orientation anyway. Anyone else going not been placed yet? x

Errrrrm I'm guessing its a couple of miles....head for Wivenhoe. You have to go right through Colchester....go over the 5 roundabouts all in a bunch and down the bypass and then you go right and then right again! (Thats if you're coming from London direction) I have no idea where to park though, there are several car parks but I don't know what one is the visitor carpark, I'm driving so I'm bound to get lost!

I have a feeling you can see the Uni "Towers" (Student accommodation) as you come down to hill...its like a the middle of a load of trees.

I am the worst for given directions haha! If it helps, I Google Earthed it. That way you can see exactly what roads/buildings look like so at least you can make landmarks to remember!

I think parents are allowed to go and sit at the back (from reading what others have said)

I'm coming from the other way to London..Cambridgeshire. I've persuaded Dad to come as well as Mum and he's pretty good with directions so hopefully it should be alright..! Fingers crossed. I would write more but I'm at school and will get into trouble aha.
