Camp America participants will automatically gain access to the forum when they reach the Ready To Place status. Until then, the forum and its contents are read only. When an applicant reaches the RTP stage, accessing the Participant Zone will automatically create a forum login and users can begin posting and replying to forum content.

Post raod trip down the west coast into mexico
Hi,

I am going to a camp called camp copper creek in California woohooo!! afterwards i really want to travel down the coast of california and into mexico in some sort of wild road trip. I was wondering if anyone else was up for it? or was at least going to the west coast as everyone i have seen is going east.

I'm in Michigan but want to go to the west coast after camp. Would like to go to Florida too, but everywhere else I want to go is in the West.

Its good to know ppl are interested in the west coast too!! Everyone you talk to is all about NYC....I'm like yeah thats cool, but the USA is huuuuuge, don't you wanna see a bit more than that?! I visited about 9 states in the west last time I was in the USA. And I'd love to see Mexico this time!! 8)

Hey my camp is in NYC, but i want to fly across to the west coast after. i wana see grand canyon, la, las vegas, etc etc. xxx

those are some of the places I saw last time Leanne. The Grand Canyon is awesome - I did a helicopter flight over it as well as camped there and did some hiking. Vegas is crazy, but cool. Yeah, its tacky but its meant to be that way :lol:

Did you do a trek america, or just do it alone. Can u remember around how much you spent travelling the west coast. i was thinking for about 2wks x

i wanna do west coast!!! well jealous of you getting to go to a camp in california
i hope from my camp theres going to be others that will want to travel to california with me rather than going to NYC straight away

seriously go to the grand canyon, its amazing!!! then try go through death valley and yosemite national parks on way to vegas - they're amazing. we camped out in death valley it was BOILING but was amazing under the stars! vegas is way tacky but so cool at the same time! v. hot there too! we were lucky, we didn't have to pay much, I was on a salvation army camp and there were loads of officers who let us stay at their houses along our whole roadtrip cos one of the girls we knew was well connected within the salvation army. one of them got us 2 free rooms at a hotel!! it was amazing!

Hey, I'm at camp in NY but planning on travelling west afterwards! Wanna do San Fransisco and LA and Las Vegas! Maybe could meet up?!! Mexico sounds like it'll be good banter too! :D

yo sophia we are at the same camp copper creek and i would not mind at al lgoing to mexico but would loved to head to tiajunna drinking age 18!
My 22 is on August 24 so would love to be there for that time.

Count me in if there's a trip to Mexico! I'll be based at a camp near NYC but really don't mind where I travel so would go anywhere and would be quite happy to journey to the west and explore. I've been to Seattle, San Fran and LA before but don't mind going back to those places again and seeing new ones - have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon.

Mexico would be amazing - i just love mexican food and have been hoping to go for a while! xx

Hey you guys, The west coast is where i'm planning to go!! so if you guys wanna organise somthing drop me a line. MSN or email is probably best.

My camp is in new york state so would need to get across somehow, probably fly.
