Hey girls,

Just so you know, you're likely to get another letter through the post from Alex containing an income tax form. I emailed Alex about it and he said that we can completely ignore the letter, as we're international staff. So, don't panic if something else comes through the post!

I know that doesn't really apply to Sharmaine (I'm still insanely jealous that you're already in the states and I'm in the middle of finals), but thought I'd post it here just so you both knew :)

Kaitlin, you must be getting close to your flight date now :) How long 'til you go?

Oh wows 10,0000 words?? I feel your pain!! When do you go on break? Oh cool thanks, I might need to pass that info onto my mum so she doesn't stress if another letter comes to me from camp lol

I've booked a connecting flight to camp finally :) - it gets in on the 11th at 10.45pm. That's a bit later than your flight/train eh. Emailed Alex about it but haven't heard back yet...hope it's ok!

Well, my term doesn't actually end for summer until 30th June, so I'm leaving like three weeks early, but I finish my degree this Wednesday, which is scary/exciting!

Ooh, that's quite late... it takes like an hour to get from Pittsburgh airport to camp IIRC. You're gonna be getting in late! :P

Yay congrats on finishing your degree! :D

Hey have you girls seen that we need to sort our own accommodation and transport for our days off? Would that still apply to us? Any ideas what you'll do?

Ooo yeah it is. Still waiting to hear confirmation from Alex that someone can pick me up. It's a holiday weekend this weekend (Including today, Monday) so he might be busy/away- I'll leave it another day or so before I send a follow up email.

I don't finish for another 40 odd hours, but thanks in advance! :P

Yeah, I would assume it does apply to us. From what I heard at orientation, the American staff apparently are usually up for putting up the international staff on days off, so I presume we'd go stay with an American family during days off?

:P

Nah, I don't think so. If there is a problem, I'm sure between all the international staff, we'd be able to find somewhere to stay in Pittsburgh for relatively cheap, seeing as there's like 10 of us!

I'm so excited to meet everyone! Now that it's only 13 days away (it's 00:15am here in the UK :P ), it's starting to get more and more real!!

@ Kaitlin oh cool, prob flying is a good option, I've heard it can be tricky to deal with luggage on trains- esp the amount we'll have lol :)

Has Alex confirmed that someone can come pick you up at the time you fly in? I have sent him a couple emails with my arrival details but no reply as of yet.

Less that one week til I get to meet you gals yay! :D

He hasn't confirmed to me yet, but I trust that he'll have gotten it all sorted. Maybe he'll confirm it by the end of the week?

How much luggage have you both got, by the way? I'm packing just now to leave my University town and go back to London tomorrow - currently, everything's in a huge suitcase. Not sure if that's the best idea?!

Five days to go! :D So excited to finally meet you girls in person!

Oh cool I'll stop hassling him with emails then :P ...for the moment.

I was only allowed one piece of checked in luggage and one carry-on, so put most things in a large suitcase and what I needed for the flight/change of clothes (in case luggage went missing) in a carry-on bag. Remember to bring flip-flops/jandals for showering in- I forgot, but will find a cheap pair sometime in the next week :)

I leave tomorrow morning, so excited! Alex didn't e-mail me back either confirming he can pick me up but I'm sure it will be fine :)

I have one MASSIVE suitcase and then carry-on bag! Pretty sure I have packed too much stuff haha

Honestly so excited right now! Camp is so soooooooon :)

I think the consensus with us is massive suitcase & carry-on. That's what I have! Excellent :D

It's about quarter past nine on Thursday morning here in the UK and I'm tidying my university room for the last time until October before getting the train back to London this afternoon. Then I have three days in London. And THEN I fly out on Monday. THIS IS INSANE.

Fly safe, Kaitlin! I'll be seeing both of you soooooooon! :D

Safe travels to you too Marie (for your train ride...and your flight too if I don't post again before then :P)
