I think it is about 20 hours all up, but I have to find a way to travel to Sydney first (15hour drive or 2 hours by plane- both incredibly expensive!)

Can't wait to meet people (already got chatting to a girl on fb from Poland)

What're peoples plans for their grace period?

Oh my days thats craaaazy! I guess flying would be easier to save all the effort, but it is just the price :/ will be worth it though!

ahhh really, cool :)

uhm I know one girl has booked a trek, allthough I think I'm just going to wait till I'm out there and see what everyone else is doing, and sort it from there, how about yours?
xx

What i'd really like to do (but is unlikely) is to fly from Newark over to Portland on 21st Aug to meet my friend and travel down the west coast and hit Tijuana. When my J1 visa ends I'd really like to go into Nicaragua for a week to meet my friend who is living there before. Then return on a visa waiver program for a holiday in portland. This might be a bit stretched and risky on re entering the US with a vwp. I might just end up doing the west coast and keepin' it easy.

I’m from Auckland, NZ. Went to Hoover in 2009 & headin back for my second summer this year. What time do you guys arrive on the 28th? I’m flying in late on the 26th so will be at the Camp America Hotel when you all get there.
Where abouts in Aussie are you from? Add me on Facebook clarenicoleis@hotmail.com

(tried to send message before, dont think it worked)
I am from a place close to Kangaroo Island but I live and study south of Adelaide in Flinders.
Seeing as you've been there before, any tips on life at LHH. Things to bring, not to bring, travel.
I really want to go to NYC so if anyone else is keen and we get time off then we should defo head over!

I’ve got cousins in Aussie - Newcastle, Melbourne, Perth & Ipswich. Haven’t been to Adelaide yet.
We should receive an email from Hook (camp director) by the end of month. I know she is really busy at the moment with campers at Hoover everywknd til we get there. I know some of the Americans haven’t heard yet if they have a job. Do you have any specific questions?

Last time I just visited mates I had in the USA so I didn’t see much, thats Y this time I have booked tours with Trek America. 14 Days New York to Miami & 7 days San Fran to LA. Don’t leave for my tours til 28 Aug so I have a free week after camp to see NYC, Six Flags, Niagara Falls.
