Post ARC Lifeguarding Course...
Is anyone thinking about doing this??? I've just signed up for the December one... Has anyone done this course yet with Camp America? What all do we have to do in the 5 days??? I know about the first day pre-requisite stuff... How about the other stuff? Is it extremely difficult or is it okay?

Post Re: ARC Lifeguarding Course...
Hi melanie,
I did this course last year in Milton Keyes and i absolutely loved it.
The instructors are a right laugh, they go through all the material slowly and test you as you go along. The pre-requisites are nothing to worry about as the instructors want you to pass so they give you as much help and time as you need.
You spend the mornings in the classroom watching videos and going through the life-guarding manual and then the afternoons are spent in the pool watching the instructors do the techniques and then learning how to do them yourself. Its not as intense as it seems either, lots of camp-like activities and games in the pool.
i'd really recommend this course if you want to pretty much guarantee yourself a placement at a camp!
If you can do the pre-requisites then you'll breeze through it, shouldn't be difficult at all.
Hope this helps!
