I havn't been given a date for flying out yet, but I presume that it will be on the 22nd as well.
Don't know what I'm looking forward to, just trying new things out really. So basically looking forward to everything really lol.

Have you seen all the Camp videos on the website, in the modinites section?? They're amazing, and that's gonna be my job this year, making those videos in between teaching Can't wait!

It probably will be the 22nd, cos orientation starts on the 23rd, think it's just lifeguards an high ropes instructors who go out any earlier.

Are you gonna travel after camp??

My camp is jewish and i found that when i got to camp that i found that most american staff are jewish and internacionals..tend not to be..it might be a bit different at your camp...who knows!

Nah I havn't looked at the video section yet, my internet is a tad rubbish and may not play them Haha does that mean I am probably going to be in one of those videos?
Hopefully I'm going travelling for a few weeks afterwards, but as I'm doing an MA at Southampton Uni this year, so I need to be back. But I'm going to pop over to Canada and then I don't where else, havn't really planned anything as of yet.

You should try it, my internet's rubbish and it plays them go to modin.com an click on modinites an then the video clips link. The camp looks seriously amazing. I searched on youtube and found a couple of videos too, I'm getting a tad obsessed haha!

I'm going travelling for as long as the visa allows, but don't wanna plan anything too specific until after camp, you neva know what might happen while you're there

Yeah I got the medical form filled out in december, everything is paid, just waiting on these visa forms etc. You all up to date on paper Banned Word?

I'll those vids another try, it may end up making me a tad obsessed as well.

This summer is going to be good though, a few days before we fly out I am attending Beach Break Live, a nice goodbye with all my mates on a sunny beach and live music, good times.

Hey! I've looked into a bit since then an from the camp's website it looks like the gc's an american staff are usually Jewish but the specialists aren't, because they bring in the internationals. It also says that we don't have to actively participate but just respect their customs and practices which is fair enough. It'll be interesting to learn about a different religion anyway

That medical form was a right pain in the behind lol my doctor had it for about 6 weeks and I was like come on, it's just a ticky box thing! lol i posted it the other day tho, so I'm all up to date with forms and monies and just waiting on the visa forms.

Definately try the videos tho, especially if you've never seen what the place looks like!

So how come you've managed to get your flight details?
I'm still a bit unsure of what it is I'm meant to be doing, if i'm teaching photography or just taking photos for the website...Might get and send them an email.

I'm the same, just waiting for the visa information and flight details to come through, so it's just all about the waiting now...

Hey Kimberley! I don't have flight details exactly, just my CAD page asked me to confirm my flight date so I know I'm definately flying on the 22nd June Has it not asked you to do that??

And I imagine you'll be doing both, that's what I'm doing, teaching the kids video and editing and then filming for the website in between, gonna be a busy summer lol Send them an email tho if you want to know for definite.

Apparantly the visa stuff is gonna start coming through any time now, I'm getting ridiculously excited lol

Are you preparing anything to help you teach them? I'm a bit scared, I dunno where to start, hah...I think I'll email them just to make sure.

I know, I'm crazy excited. I've been warned about the visa thing...it could take all day, ahh well, make a few days of it and go shopping, I guess

Yeah, you know how long it takes them to update the CAD pages, especially with all the people getting hired at the recruitment fairs!

I've been thinking about things i could teach them, but I'm not exactly sure if I'm mainly teaching editing or video ir how much the kids will already know, I a bit scared too lol Think I'll just prepare a load of stuff and I can see what I can use while I'm out there

Yeah I heard that about the visa day but I have friends in London I can stay with, was thinking bout making a mini trip of it lol I love London anyway so don't mind a bit of waiting around

Have you seen all the photographs on the modin website? I bet that's what you'll be doing! Last year they got a helicopter in to take aerial photos and videos, that's madness lol I hope they do it again this year!!

Wayhey, i've just confirmed my flight, 22nd June aswell
I'm surprised not many others are writing on this forum...surely it can't just be us three that have been accepted... Ah well.
I'm so excited...got my Visa stuff through the post this morning too, it's all happening

Yeah I imagine I'll be doing a bit of both like you then if that's the case. I'm glad I may get in touch with my old college teacher for some pointers if i get too wound up about what to teach them.
