Post Friendship Bracelets
OK So i know this is a completely random thread but i found my old friendship bracelets from the last two summers and no i have the urge to make one and was just wondering if anyone knows where i can get the string/thread/cotton(am i being dim but i just cant think what was used to make them)

I want to buy some for camp. I know i can probably get some in america somewhere but has anyone bought some while they have been the UK. I want lots of colours and is there anywhere cheapish.

Hope this makes sense lol

can you get multi packs and what is it just string i mean whats it called. I found small ones for like 75 pence in john lewis but they are the individual ones you know and it says cotton and i like too many colours so it could get quite expensive if you know what any of this means lol

its called Embroidery Floss! I just did a google search and argos sell it although its expensive there its £14.99 but you get 150 things of it! i dont if you saw how it comes at camp in the skeins but thats how they sell it there. its quite expensive stuff to buy unless you come across a reasonable priced store.

Alternatively have a look on ebay you might get some on there

Heres the link for the argos one if you wanna look at it

yeah see thats what i saw in john Lewis and i liked too many colours and for 15 you could only get about 20 so 150 for 15 ponds is actually really good its like 1 pence for each. I might just buy the argos one thanks rebecca and it can last a while lol

I could go for the cheap ones on ebay but i dont wanna wait for delivery and when you factor in how much each individual one costs then its cheap and they are worth it. I didnt get any friendship bracelets last year so i made myself 3 lol

Hey! I was thinking about taking some over to camp and making friendship bracelets with the girls in my cabin, so they'd all have one, like a team bonding type thing. Wasn't sure where to get it though, so thanks :)

I just wanted some so i could make them at home too when camp was over. I bought the ones from argos last one in stock. Thinking about it now maybe it was kinda expensive and i prob shouldnt have spent that money when im saving up but they will last forever ok close enough anyway lol I am trying not to make any until friday when my exams are over. A councillor last year at camp had the string that changes colour as you go down in like one string was various shades of the same colour and i though that was cool but i cant find those one anywhere

Do you just plait all the colours together to make the bracelet? I was thinking of adding beads on etc. Can anyone tell me what kinds of bracelets they made @ camp as I'm the arts and crafts person at my camp and haven't made any of these for a long time, lol! My director said the kids go mad for them :)
