The website doesn't really say all that much, not staff-wise anyway.
Good stories from last year.... there's so many.
It's a great camp, I got recruited at a recruitment fair last year so I got to talk to the director then after I got hired I was worried I wasn't going to be able to do it, it seemed hard but I did. Everyone does. Everyone is so supportive and all the staff are absolutely amazing, the director and assistant directory person (Mike and Sue) are really really super great (they really must be if I can be enthusiastic about them at 11 o'clock in the morning). There's loads of returners so it must be a good place to be!
I'm babbling now, mostly because I should be writing an essay (on slopes - can you think of anything more boring?!).
Feel free to ask questions, I'll let some of the people I know fo' sho' are coming back that theres a thread for camp anne on the forum and I'll get them to introduce themselves.

Oh and yeah, there is a massive staff. If you include nurses, kitchen staff, maintenence etc there's definitely over 100. Actually, there might be nearly 100 counsellors. I'm trying to think... There's between 16 and 20 counsellors in each cabin, 6 cabins - so yeah, loads of counsellors, and that's just cabins with campers in them.
You get to know everyone though, it's like a huge non-dysfunctional family. Like the Waltons.

Yeah, the way it works is you get 2 days off every 13 days, for the two days off if you want to go into NYC you put your names down on a bus list so you take campers back into new york on the buses then you just stay in NYC until it's time to pick more campers up two days later. So it's free transport there and back which is cool.

I'll try and find one of the returning returners who's returning this year to give you background, they probably know more than me.
I can give you basic info like most campers are 1:1 which means it's one camper to every one counsellor. The cabins are split into male and female cabins. Only female counsellors can work with female campers (there's two female cabins) but both male and female counsellors can work with male campers (there are 4 male cabins).
You start at seven most mornings and work until 'OD' is called at night and you get one hours rest during the day - 'rest hour'. During rest hour and OD three people stay in the cabin to look after the campers.
Umm.... maybe you should ask me specific questions because I'm a bit rubbish with giving descriptions.
As for the buses, I can't remember how many people are allowed to go but it's a lot, barely anyone stayed on camp for inter-session. If the buses are full theres a train station not too far away.
