I got placed at the Fair today as a GC potentially a unit leader!

i got placed there today as arts & crafts specialist i thnk or genral counsellor but pretty sure arts & crafts lol

I said I didn't have a pref at the interview so she said leave it blank but on my CAD it says Farnworth

I do know, it's in Vermont. If you type Camp Farnsworth (realised it had an '"s" in it today lol) into google maps you can see.

I keep looking up whats on the net about it and its got great reviews so I'm hoping it's def Farnsworth now. There were only 58 staff there last year so should know each other pretty well by the end of it!

ahh right kewl i tried typeing it ingoogle but i dont understand the map thing and everytime i type it in normal google i get farm land

I got placed at the fair, thought I'd be coming home with nothing after so many turned out not to be looking for GCs but had a lucky ending. I was talking 2 a girl behind me in the queue who was lookin 2 do watersports but obv I then went to processing and I wana know if shes coming too!
There was a list with about a dozen names so we need to hunt them out on here!

ahh yee there was 3 girls iwas talking to i just spoke 2 one of them in the genral forum didnt rrelise it was her at 1st but she didnt get place cus she cudnt come out on that date but she said the other 2 girls got in. did u get placed quite later in day then?

I got placed about quarter to 3 i think...time blurred after standing for over an hour! What time were u in the q?

ahh that was quite lucky they still had places then!! i was quite near front of que so got in there like 11ish and eveyrcamp i went 2 had like no gc positions only wanted guys or specialists!! i was in the que about 12ish i think i left there bout alf 12. did quee up just to see our camp 4 an hour??

I know I kept asking the lovely lady i spoke 2 to let me know if GCs filled up so I wasnt still standing there, I read on the forum how another girl waited for ages only to find the position had been filled and I know how she felt cos that happened to me at the first fair!!
I got in the actual fair at 11.10 and went around for ages checking who wanted what. Actually I tell a lie, i got placed about 2ish...maybe. Cos I know i was in the q at 12.40. This is becoming pointless rambling now!

But yeh i was in the q for our camp for an hour. Ha - sounds weird. "our camp" x

ahh wha the lady that worked on the stand both of them were really nice unlike other camps i went and saw! was theres lots of ppl lineing up then... i thought they were only hireing 10 gcs? hmm i dnah but she was going on bout the art bit 2 me cus i got like diploma in it and that so dnt no if il be doin jus arts n crafts of gc! but we will see! did they have lots of names on the list thenn? i no there wasl ike 4 ppl got in b4 me then the 2 girls after me. wen i was leaving the que was getting quite long

A lot of ppl had dodge experiences with various camp reps which is a shame, ours were great. I spoke to the one with straighter hair - she was a lot of fun. I don't know how many GCs they were hiring but on the paper there were a dozen or so names, but that could be a 2nd page, or just gcs or everyone they hired that day. Doesnt it say on ur profile what you've been hired as?? There were only about 8 ppl in front of me but obv everyone deserves a decent interview time so it took ages - worth it in the end.

ahh ritee yee they got 3 camps so im guessing im goin fernsworth one cus that on ma page... on ma pro under activites/speicalitys it sats scouting! so im not sure she was talking like i would be doing art n crafts all time but i think im put down for gc. did everyone in front of you get plced when i was lineing up looked like every1 was getting placed which was gd thng.. at least 1 camp was hireing!!
