Post Visa Appointment!!!
I have my Visa Appointment on 6th May. I only found out today that the date had been changed. I was only placed on 30th April... and I'm flying out 22nd May! SO i'm feeling very rushed! lol
The Visa papers haven't had time to come through the post... I rang back today saying this and the woman just said 'we will have to meet you there with them because there isn't enough time'
I'm just hoping there isn't some sort of mix-up and they will actually have those papers!! as its costs £51 for the train tickets!
I need to know what you have to fill in on those forms you all got sent in the post??? I don't want to get to London then find out I've left some info at home which I need to fill the forms in!

Finally, I just need to know if i have got everything;

1) Passport
2) DS-156
3) DS- 158
4) CA support letter
5) CA letter with address on(just incase they need it)
6) Proof of return - haven't done this yet...if i asked my mum to write a letter what would it have to say?? and would it have to be handwritten?
7) the receipt thing & the email with the date and appoint. time

Is there ANYTHING else I have missed out!??

Thanks in advance!

Ceri

It's now almost 2 months since my visa appt so I hope you'll understand my vagueness but I'm almost certain that the embassy forms that come in the post only need checking, signing and dating. Make sure you check your personal details page on CAD is all correct and ring them first thing in the morning if something like your name or your passport no is wrong.

I think that's everything.

6) It doesn't HAVE to be handwritten I don't think but mine was so not sure - but isn't handwritten easier anyway? It's not that important (they didn't look at mine) but best to have. You just need her to say you have strong family commitments and will be returning to go to university/search for a job.

wow that really is rushed! bet your excited that you're going so soon though!

i think you've remembered everything, only other thing i can think of is to remember that your photo needs to be less than 6 months old - there were a few people being sent to a photo booth down the road when i was there!

I have just checked my CA personal details, only thing which I'm thinking might be a problem/mistake is :

Passport issue country: UK on the DS-156 form Ive put Great Britain ??

Passport issue city: (the town where i live!) on the DS-156 i've put IPS because thats what it says on my passport! << and the powerpoint thing told me to put that.

I hope i'm just being silly but would this be a problem??

It would be easier handwritten but my mums handwritting is SO hard to read lol

thanks for all your help!
