You can, just as long as it is not through your face !
preferably cut the picture with a white rim around it, and then staple that bit x

Like Verity says, stapling is fine. While you're at it, stable your DS156/7/8 forms together. CA will only make you do it outside the Embassy if you haven't.

Hi

I just finished going through the whole visa papers and remembered seeing this thread beforehand.

On the actual form it says glue or staple BUT on the CA step-by-step it says: Next, you need to glue (not staple) a photograph to the form.

Just thought I'd throw that in. Glue seems best option!

Yeah but on some other CA advice it says staple is fine, just not through the face.

Sigh. It's not a case of risking it, CA has contradicted itself - staple is fine...

...just don't staple through your fiiiine mug, because they have to take a photo of your photo...

I had my visa interview on March 6th. I left a small white border on my photo (from the excess around it when I cut it out). I stapled through the excess. It was fine. No risk.
