Hi, I got recruited at the London trade fair for Pine Forest Camp. I'm teaching horse riding and looking after the horses. Think I have contact with all three camps though. Are you all going on the 21st June?

I didn't get to meet her, trying to get her email so I can say hi before going. Yeah I spoke to Gayle, they all seemed really nice, had a really good vibe about the camps. I hope theres lots of counsellor socials as I won't get to be with all the counsellors day to day. Are any of you travelling after camp? Hannah xx

Oh, i was being massively nosy at the fair and i think she gave the other girl your email address! Do you have long dark hair or am i getting confused?

Haha, yeah i hope there are social things, there are bound to be because i think all the counsellors are activity specialists as well i dont think they hire people just to be councellors so im sure we will get to spend loads of time together. Speaking to Gayle is what made me want to go so much, everyone was so friendly, im excited!

Yeah, me and my friend Jess (whos also coming Timber Tops) are travelling after but we should definately all go together if you were planning on travelling after as well?

I was too, but I was the one Gayle gave the email address to! Obviously we have met in passing...very random! I tried the address but no response, I doubt its right as couldn't really read it. I have emailed the camp with a few questions and asking for it, so hopefully I'll hear back.
Thats good about everyone being an activity specialist as at least we are all in the same boat then. I was worried as Gayle did say as we are away from the camps on the ranch it is a bit more isolated. I am so excited, I've spent ages looking at the website and photos, it looks so good...unfortunately 4 months still to go. Im definately going to travel after but not sure how long I can afford. I'll be 21 so quite fancy car sharing and going on a road trip. Sorry about the long reply (procrastinating doing a few essays). By the way how old/what do you guys do at the moment?

Oh dont worry, im just at work so finding an excuse not to work! I work in London, and Jess is at Greenwich University, il get her to come on the forum tonight and you can talk to her! Oh, are the stables a little bit out of camp then, im sure your not too far away!

We were considering getting a car and driving around as well, i think you have to have been driving for at least 2 and a half years or something though but iv been driving for 3 so that should be ok. Im 20, and Jess will be 20 while were there, her birthday is July 24th so hopefully we can have a little party!

Are you at uni at the moment then? Where do you live? xx

Sounds great! I think the ranch is about a mile out of camp, as its for all 3 camps. They mentioned we could drive down etc and I think meals and things will be at Pine Forest so that will be good.
I just fancy making a list of a few places and meandering my way back to New York then spending a week there. I've been driving for 3 years too. It sounds like they make a bit of a fuss about birthdays so should be fun. One guy said there was a bar near the camps so that could be good. I'm at Sussex uni studying psychology and live in Brighton with friends. What job do you do? xx

I used to go to Brighton Uni, my friend goes to Sussex Uni shes doing Philosophy she was at the well posh halls right at the back i cant remember what theyre called. My friends live in Viaduct Road now. Do you know where that is?

Sorry i was getting a bit carried away there, I work in civil service near Victoria. A mile out of camp, thats quite far actually, do you spend all day every day there? You'll be fine, do you know if we get to go in the pool and stuff at all if were not actually lifeguards or anything cos i love swimming!

Theres so many places i wanna go to though,im not leaving til i go to LA, haha and obviously new york, hopefully florida and las vegas as well if i get the time. Just see what happens though i guess. When did you say you were going? x

How random! I used to live in those halls last year (Lewes court!) and I now live a few roads away from Viaduct road, more towards London Road station. What did you do at Brighton?
Well she said a mile but I looked at the map and it didn't look that far, it looked walkable to Pine Forest and sure if we have meals etc down there it can't be too far. Hoping we get to swim, I want to abuse the fact theres so many facilities there and try a few! Sure we can as long as we are not responsible for kids when in the water. Although I'm looking after the horses I think I will have time off in the evenings as when they are all feed and watered we are done. So planning to try and socialise with counsellors and kids then. But can imagine by that point I will be knackered as she did mention 5.30 am starts to feed the horses!
Ive been to LA and Las Vegas, but will be 21 so wouldnt mind going back there as it would be a lot more fun. Think the 21st thats whats on the form xx

Yeah thats where she lived lewes court. Her name is laura tomsett incase you ever bump into her! haha

5.30 am start? That is massively early, hopefully i wont be up that early! I did communication and media at brighton but the course was so bad i left after the first year. So are you actually staying at timber tops then, you never know we might even be in the same cabin because gayle said she wont put me and jess together so we can meet other people and they will probably put the english girls together. Where are you from originally? Do you know when we finish camp? xx

Thats so random. No I think I will be staying on the ranch not in the bunks as I don't have kids to look after just the horses and then teaching in the day. So i will be with 3 other girls and I think I will be going to Pine Forest for meals etc. Thats why I was a bit worried about being isolated. Thats good you'll meet others, otherwise you run the risk of just sticking together.
I'm from Bournemouth, you? I think its the 15th August, had you had an interview etc before the fair? I did, just wondering how long it is before we will hear more about it all. This is bad, I'm so excited how am I going to wait 4 months! xx
