Day Camp
Day camps do exactly what they say on the tin...offer day-time activities only! Children from the local area spend time at camp during the day, before returning home for the night.
While the campers are there, you'll take part in a full-range of activities and ensure that their day is action-packed and they're suitably tired out by the time they head home!
Of course the beauty of day camps is once you've waved your campers goodbye, you have the rest of the night off and can enjoy all that the camp has to offer for yourself!
On the majority of day camps, accommodation will be offered on site, however in some instances accommodation may be provided by local families, meaning you‘ll be living with the family and therefore you'll get a richer cultural exchange than most!
A huge day camp we send counsellors to every year is Clearpool Summer Camps in New York State. It lies north of New York City, in a wooded area on the banks of Clear Pool water. Here campers can sign up for up to 3 weeks, arriving at the camp in the morning and going home in the late afternoon from Monday to Friday! They get to experience all the usual camp activities such as archery, canoeing, ropes course and swimming!
The camp also hosts special events – such as Olympics Week and Halloween Week!
